BRAD MERRIMAN – JOURNALIST – TACD NEWS – After searching the home of Stamford, Connecticut resident Miriam Carey, the driver of the vehicle that was the subject of a car chase Thursday afternoon that put Capitol Hill on lock down, it was discovered that Miss Carey was taking the anti schizophrenia and bipolar disorder medication risperidone, as well as the anti depressant Lexapro.
Carey, a licensed dental hygienist, went on a speeding rampage around Washington DC on Thursday, ramming a barricade, and speeding down Pennsylvania Avenue at speeds of up to 85 Mph. The chase ended with Capitol Police and the Secret Service officers shooting and killing her. Carey’s 1 year old son was also in the vehicle, but was unharmed.
Stamford Police confirm that there was an encounter with officers in December, at which time Carey stated she was a prophet, and that President Obama had locked down the city of Stamford. Carey also believed her house was bugged with surveillance equipment. Carey was taken for a mental evaluation and released.
Donald Knowles is a friend of Carey’s, he stated he saw her a few days before and described her state of mind as, “She was all smiles,” said Knowles, “like she didn’t have a care in the world.”
