PILOTS TAKE A NAP IN THE COCKPIT AT 30,000 FEET

BRAD MERRIMAN – JOURNALIST – TACD NEWS – According to the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority, two pilots took a nap last August during a flight to Britain on the Airbus A330 with roughly 300 souls on board.  The auto pilot mode was being used, however the pilots are required to stay awake regardless.  Apparently the two pilots only received 5 hours of sleep over a two day period.  It is reported that both crew members took turns sleeping in 20 minute increments, until both fell asleep at the same time.

The aircraft did arrive safely to its destination, although the CAA wont release the actual destination airport.
