BRAD MERRIMAN – JOURNALIST – TACDNEWS – “This is something traumatic that has never happened before in our county,” Cumberland County Sheriff Butch Burgess said regarding a quadruple homicide in the Renegade Mountains sometime on Thursday. A passerby discovered the four bodies of teen boys who were on their way up to the mountains for a day of four wheeling. The bodies were discovered in a vehicle along side a remote road, all shot to death.  Jacob Allen Bennett, a young white male, was arrested on unrelated charges, but seems to be the only suspect at this time.

Among the victims were 17 year olds John Lajeunesse, Steven Presley and Dominic Davis.  In the drivers seat, 22 year old Danielle Jacobson, who leaves behind a young son. Presley was a recent high school graduate while Davis was still attending high school

Rumors have began to spread through the local town of Crossville as to the motive behind the killing.  Some say drugs, some say a theft gone bad, or maybe a fight between hot headed kids.   The local Sheriff’s Office has remained tight lipped about any details of regarding motive or any other specifics about the case.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn announced”The local community can rest assured that we believe that we have this person that committed these crimes in custody.”
