BRAD MERRIMAN – JOURNALIST – TACD NEWS – On September 3rd 2012, William T. Woodward entered the backyard of a neighbor and shot and killed two men, and wounded a third.  Woodward claims he had received threats of ‘we will get you’, numerous times in the past month.  Woodward stated that the threats that day had escalated to all three men stating they were going to ‘go get him’.  Woodward is claiming these threats made him in fear for his life.  This being the case, Woodward is now claiming he was simply using the force allowed under Florida’s now famous ‘Stand Your Ground Law’.  The law states that gun owners do not have to retreat, but may face their threats with deadly force if they feel they are in fear for their life.  Woodward also cited the ‘Bush Doctrine”, to launch a preemptive attack against those who threaten your security, as Bush claimed to do in Iraq.

Woodward and his neighbor, Gary Lee Hembree, had a long history of neighborly disputes.  Police had a record of being called out for domestic disturbances between the two men.  The dispute even went before Judge John D. Moxley, but no injunction was issued.

A motion has been filed demanding the charges be thrown out.
