BRAD MERRIMAN – PRESIDENT – TACD MEDIA LLC – Today 3 young men ages 15, 16, and 17 were charged in Duncan Oklahoma for the murder of Australian baseball hopeful Christopher Lane. Lane was out jogging last week when the three youths made the fateful decision that they were going to kill someone that day. Lane ran by and the boys fired a single shot from a vehicle, striking Lane in the back.
Lane was noticed by bystanders to be staggering in the street following the shooting, he then collapsed and died. The boys then sped away and surveillance cameras in the area witnessed the getaway. This footage was used to make the arrests. James Edward Jr., 15, Chancey Luna, 16, and Michael Jones, 17, were all charged as adults for this alleged murder. Jones will have the additional charge of use of a vehicle while a weapon was discharged. The three youths told police they were just ‘bored’, so they decided to kill.
