Lincoln

4 Stars

Every great actor has a defining role in their career that they will be forever remembered for….this is Daniel Day Lewis’s role of a lifetime. He did a magnificent job in portraying Lincoln in this instant classic movie. Lewis was able to capture the ‘Presidentialness’ and the greatness of one of the most beloved men our country has ever seen. His grace, poise, yet intelligentmanners were spot on at every turn. Tommy Lee Jones stole the show in several scenes as a grouchy ways and means chairman who had an awkward moment with Mary Todd Lincoln, played masterfully by Sally Field, who was haunted by the death of her young son to the point of madness. Lewis, Jones, and Fields all gave Oscar caliber performances in this historical movie, a must see.
