Israel vs. Iraq….and More

After watching the interview between Iranian President Ahmadinejad and Piers Morgan the other day, i am more convinced now that a war between Iran and Israel is not a matter of if, but a matter of when.  I know the United States is an Israeli ally, and must provide aid, which may include troops and certainly will include money, of which we are in short supply.  My fear is that this war with Iran will not only be costly in the lives lost, but as soon as Hamas realizes how occupied Israel is with Iran, they will probably launch a full attack and get what they have always wanted, an Islamic state of Israel.  This week Hamas aimed the first of its kind, Gaza made rockets at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem just to flex muscle.  As a result Israel called up 16,000 troops to make ready for a possible Palestinian ground assault.   I fear if this happens, a war with Iran would end up being fought mostly by Israels allies and not so much by Israel.  As with most wars in the Middle East, i am sure the United States will take the lead through the UN facade, and we will probably suffer more soldier loss than any other country if this war happens.  I can only hope that Israel will not pull a Bush and start two wars that they definitely can’t handle.
